The first of three Little Quaker Try-Outs is being held tonight. Registration starts at 6:00 PM at the Dooney Field House on Penn Charter Campus (3000 W. Schoolhouse Lane, Philadelphia, PA)

Due to the inclement weather, please be prepared to practice indoors and outdoors. Full Equipment is still required along with sneakers and cleats. Practice will start promptly at 7:00 PM.

Please note, we have an unlimited weight restriction and players can not have turned 15 prior for September 1st, 2014.

The Little Quakers are gearing up for another exciting season packed with great football, an away trip to San Fracisco, our annual Chickie’s and Pete’s night with the Eagles and so much more.

Try-outs for the 2014 season are being held on the following dates:

Thursday, September 25th-registration at 6:00 pm, practice at 7:00 pm
Monday, September 29th-registration at 6:00 pm, practice at 7:00 pm
Thursday, October 2nd-registration at 6:00 pm, practice at 7:00 pm

Registration is held at Penn Charter in the Dooney Fieldhouse. (3000 W. Schoolhouse Lane, Philadelphia) There is no fee for registration. (Please see attached registration form that you may fill out in advance but it is not required.)

All participants must practice in full equipment, including proper footwear and padding. NO EXCEPTIONS!! Please plan to attend all three try-out dates. Players cannot turn 15 before September 1st of this year. There is no weight limit.

Once again, the Philadelphia Little Quakers will host their Annual Golf Outing & Dinner at Raven’s Claw Golf Course. Come join the Little Quaker family and rekindle the friendships that were forged so many years ago. The Outing includes a lunch of hamburgers & hot dogs, a sleeve of golf balls, the limited edition 62nd Season LQ Golf Wind Shirt, a round of golf & cart and a gourmet dinner & silent auction. For 62 seasons, the Little Quakers tradition have provided a ’pathway forward" for Delaware Valley student-athletes through a once-in-a-lifetime football experience. The LQ Program has awarded over $2.5 Million in scholarships that have change young kids lives.

“Once a Little Quaker, always a Little Quaker”

The 2013 Philadelphia Little Quakers traveled to Roswell, Georgia to take on the Georgia Thoroughbreds this past Saturday in Roswell, GA
and came away with an impressive 30-6 win over a tough, athletic Thoroughbred team. Quadir Gibson rushed for 139 yards on 20 carries and scored 3 touchdowns. Zahmir Murray scored the other TD for the Quakers. Billy Costello recovered 2 fumbles; one of which led to a LQ score. The win completed another in a long line of undefeated seasons for the Little Quakers (4-0).
